the desire to be needed is still there, but when you’re just a random pug, the game gets lonely. surrounded by people in dalaran, but none of them “on your team”.

That and it doesn’t really address the whole burnout issue, just swaps it onto hybrid classes (most of which are also healers and tanks).

And its harder with tanks because you never entirely know how many Blizzard expects you to have in rotation.

Not that I have ever been in a raid group large enough to manage this, especially with tanks and healers…
