I lead a democracy in my guild and let new members have a chance to talk like in guild chat i will always ask everyone in the guild how there doing a little bit of that goes a long way. So they have more confidence in talking in the group and i always see if someone is showing some promising results i will let them run this or that in the guild.

If your a struggling guild low on members i recommend getting a few loyal players who are kind helpful talk to anyone and wont just stick in there own wee group to get it started then see which one suits which position e.g Name suits recruiting and likes to recruit, name suits Running alliance battles etc. even people doing alliance battles or just normal guild battles can role in a few members aswell as a leader you should also get involved with the newer members of the guild so they feel more confident in going against one of your decisions i like people who go against my decisions since they may give me a better idea etc.

I welcome disagreement, but as you said, timing is key.

Method of delivery is important as well. Openly challenging a strat in voice chat can kill focus, particularly when a fight just requires practice. Whispers are the far prefered way to contact me during attempts, particularly if its just a "hey I heard this" or "I noticed someone doing that".

Yep, definitely a familiar situation. I would add two tips for anyone raising a complaint though - if you are serious about getting it solved.

1) Lack of social graces isn't an excuse for bad timing. Talk to a friend before you bring up a complaint. Better yet - submit it by PM or e-mail.

2) Never use the word "you" in a complaint. Or, more specifically, do nothing that might make the person you're complaining to feel aggrieved or attacked.
