I've done IC every week on 10 man, haven't been able to try 25 yet though. Marrowgar hit like a truck in 10 man the first week before the nerf, now that fight is really easy. Deathwhisper feels like it should be harder with everything going on but it really isn't. Gunship is entertaining, just for the fun of having a rocket pack on a bear. Saurfang...well, I'd have to say that is easily the most boring of the four so far.

Here's how Saurfang goes for me, I unglyph maul so I don't hit an add, I taunt back and forth with the other tank. We don't move, we mostly ignore the adds (save for taunting them back towards us if one gets too close to ranged - and only the one currently tanking the boss). It really is pretty boring, as far as tank responsibility goes it feels like Gormok all over again.

But there's new bosses for this week, and things should get a bit more interesting.

Regarding Saurfang being boring to tank, it's not the most interesting fight, but it can liven things up and possibly help with the kill, if whenever blood beasts spawn you're on the lookout for any getting within 5-10 yards of the healers.

I lead a couple semi pug 25 mans through there ever week, and the main tips I've found for that fight are:
-Save bloodlust for 20%, when the healers need it most.
-Have each hunter assigned to a different blood beast and use distracting shot. I actually assigned all the ranged dps to a certain blood beast to kill first, then they kill the rest, an back on the boss.
-Let the first Mark of the Fallen Champion DIE. This along took us from 2-4 shotting it to 1 shotting it reliably.

Tanking Saurfang as a DK is slightly more interesting.
Trying to keep an add CoI'd as well as watching for the debuff on the other tank at least gives you something to do. Doing it with a focus macro would be too easy.

I kind of like the fact that there's less raid damage going around if you know what the smurf to do, that is, move out of the proverbial fire. There is hardly any unavoidable AoE on bosses, a mechanic I simply can't stand.

Instead there's lots of target changing going on, which means there's finally some challenge for DPS (apart from the "moving out of the fire" stuff), instead of loading all the hard parts on the healers. Marrowgar has a Kel'thuzad like mechanic where the targeted player has to be freed by DPSing instead of getting healed, Lady Deathwhisper's adds actually require you to not just press Tab, and Saurfang has adds that need to be kited. Granted, melee DPS get left out in the cold, but as ranged DPS the fight is awesome.

And yeah, agreed on the jetpacks. Why can't engineers make those?

Petter:- Gearing is 'easy' now. If you have time to do a few instances.

Basicaly you get 2 Frost (ie top level) badges a day from doing the random heroic and a handfull of Triumph (next level down). So if you instance a LOT its possible to get hold of a fair number of frost badges and a gazillion triumph badges in short order. Some of our tanks are pushing 400+ triumph badges. It is _very_ easy to gear to be ready for Trial of the Grand Crusader and pretty easy for 10 man ICC. My 'lock alt who was rubbish geared is now decked out in pretty decent gear and kicking out 4k+ dps in ICC 10 man for a couple of weeks somewhat patchily doing dailys. My wife (who's far more hardcore than me) geared her Healadin well enough to tank 10 ICC in the same period. Its NEVER been easier to gear for near top end content. On the flip side if you dont have time to do the dailys several times a week your old gear is going tobe looking pretty shabby pretty quickly.

Seriously, you just sold me Icecrown. I guess that's my problem - if I start playing WoW again, I will want to raid. Raiding is WoW for me. And I would not want to miss ICC...the problem would be catching up, since I left the game after finishing up Naxx/before Ulduar was released.

But damn, it sounds like fun. Oooooooh, fun.

Deathbringer:-

Its borning when done well. It can get rather exciting (ie brief and terminal) when the tanking crew is less than 100% on the ball. Did an alt run t'other night with a tank not used to raiding (ie fine as solo tank in 5 mans) and we just didnt get the tanks working together 100% andf as a result Saurfang self healed. DPS was doing okay if a bit low and the healer crew were solid as rocks but we just couldnt out nuke him with heals from the tank debuff.

My somewhat rambling point is :-It may be made to look easy by the pro's it may even feel easy to them, it doesnt allways follow it is actualy easy.
