I’m not sure whether the starting quests making you feel “extra special” is a good thing though. It was always a bit illogical that so many people were THE ONE to kill Arthas for example, but at least things that happened in instances were relatively easy to brush over, and what happened in the open world often had little enough consequence that you could rationalise it away. (You weren’t THE ONE to rid Northshire of its kobold problem, you just helped to beat them back for a little while, for example.) But if every single quest in the open world emphasises how you are the saviour, THE ONE that changes everything, that rather hurts immersion in my eyes.
