Even with WoW’s rather stylistic representation of distance, you’re talking about approximately 150 thousand tonnes of water per second pouring into the basin to fill it.

For comparitive purposes, the largest rivers on earth at spate have never been known to exceed ten thousand tonnes per second.

Mind you, considering the Goblins had time to build large boat and sail it out there, perhaps it wasn’t intended so literally.
