What I don't get is... Another evil race? There are already more evils than goods. I really expected another good race. Big disappointment. So it seems that not only did they want to do the vamp thing to probably cash in on the craze but they are willing to swim up stream to do so being willing to unbalance the good/evil ratio even more.

It is a shame, it really appears that they are simply milking the game for what they can and are completely willing to drive it into the ground. But normally you do that with games that are dying and this game is a long way from dead. I guess the current management simply wants to post big numbers and long term is not a part of their vocabulary.

Ah, that does make sense, thanks.

I don't play EQ2 but I could see that as a trend, I mean I noticed they adopted achievements and battlegrounds and don't seem to be in a hurry to push different types of content. (I mean, compared with LOTROs skirmishes and legendary weapons.) It's a shame because they have a lot of cool stuff going for them with all the collection quests and crafting.

Thanks for the link!

My comments regarding EQ2 wanting to be more like WoW were in reference to the general trend lately, and John Smedley's recent comments, rather than the vampires specifically.
