But all that the Legacy system gives you (at least for the moment, although they're "working on it") is a title/surname. There's no extra encouragement there, apart from new content/story. Which, being Bioware, is incentive enough itself :P

Because I could be on my Republic alt on my server and not able to talk to my (Empire) guildies. I wouldn't expect to be able to do this in any other game but dammit ... Legacies. You're encouraged to play both sides but guilds are one side only. So if I want to socialise on Republic I have to either a) join a new guild and make new friends b) get my Empire guild to make a Republic offshoot or c) pick a different server where I have friends who have a Republic guild but not be able to use any of my Legacy points

The worst part about you only having done the occasional warfront and attacking a random flagged person is that you have now accomplished the majority of the pvp available. Congratulations.

In addition I think I just understood why lightsabers are so popular in Swtor. They double as a torch.

I don't suppose "SHOOT IT! SHOOT IT WITH GUNS!" counts as helpful advice for Polith Minefield?

I didn't think that one was too bad, had more trouble with Sullust Interception(?); I'm presuming you've got all the level 5 mods for the ship? If you've got a few space commendations saved it's well worth visiting the commendation vendor on the fleet and grabbing the Power Converter (I think it's called), gives you two buttons: first is double laser power, half shield regen, the second is the other way around. Press "1" and it's PEWPEWPEW time; with that and the level 5 beam charger you can just wave the mouse around a bit when you get near minefields to get the 150 mines, save missiles for the carriers and heavy fighters, and you should have plenty left at the end to spam the minelayer (plus double power lasers). When there's a quiet point you can hit "2" and stop firing for a bit to recharge shields quickly, then "1" again for uberlasers.
